EDUCATION: Graduated from the University of Nevada with a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice. Attended numerous academies and schools with emphasis on administration of justice and education. Graduated valedictorian from the Reno Nevada Police Academy. Also has two extra years of law enforcement undergraduate work at Weber State College and work toward a master's degree in public administration.
EXPERIENCE: Diversified experiences include 35 years professional assignments in law enforcement, police officer training, and education of which 18 where directly related to law enforcement.
Exceptionally relevant experiences include: chief of security, police photographer, corrections officer, undercover vice and narcotics investigation, police instructor and firearms training officer. Past certification includes Peace Officer Standards and Training Instructor Certificate for the State of Utah, certification by the State of Nevada to teach vocational education in the area of law enforcement and criminal justice in public schools.
Also served college internship in 1976 as a legal assistant to the city attorney for Reno, Nevada, and as a law clerk for city attorney for Logan, Utah.
Current Tennessee Real Estate Broker in good standing, and certified by the Tennessee Real Estate Commission as an instructor teaching Ethics, Professional Conduct, and Fair Housing. Serves on the Education Committee for the Middle Tennessee Association of Realtors.
